Message from the Headteacher

Dear Parents/Carers,

It was lovely to see so many parents/carers at the parents’ evening this week. I hope you found it a good opportunity to meet with your child’s class teacher and to see how well they have settled. The next one will be in the Spring term, where you will be able to discuss the progress that your child is making.

Please can you make sure that your child is wearing their black school shoes in school, as we have noticed that some children are wearing their trainers.

Many thanks, Jon Stevens.

Harvest - Tues 16th (FS & KS1) & Wed 17th (KS2) at 9.15am

Next week is our Harvest assembly. Like last year, our Harvest collection will be donated to the Black Country Foodbank, which is a fantastic charity that supports local families in need.

Last year, the Foodbank provided 67 000 meals for children! Please      support by donating tins/packets/jars/breakfast cereals/biscuits etc. Our School Council will take the food along to the food bank and see what a great job they are doing.

School Governors - Friday 26th October 9am - 10am

As you know, Governors are coming into school on a monthly basis to talk to staff, pupils and parents. Therefore, the Governors would like to invite you for a coffee/cup of tea and a chat. It will be informal and an opportunity to meet and talk to members of the Governing Board, and will be held in the  upper hall. Please do take up this opportunity to meet members of the GB.

Safeguarding

Your child may be at risk of harm if they do not attend school regularly. Safeguarding the interests of each child is everyone’s responsibility and within the context of this school, we will adhere to ‘Working together to      Safeguard Children’ (July 2018).  Failing to attend this school on a regular basis will be considered as a safeguarding matter.
