Message from the Headteacher

Dear Parents/Carers,

I would like to thank Paul Allan, who has come to the end of his term of office as a parent governor. Paul has decided not to stand again and this has created an  opening for a new parent to join the Governing Board. Please do consider this as an opportunity to make a positive impact and to be involved in your child’s education. Well done to all of the children who came dressed up in their Halloween costumes for the disco - they looked great and all had a fabulous time! Next week is half term, so do please take care and have a well deserved break!

Many thanks, Jon Stevens.

Governor Vacancy

You should have received a letter today regarding a parent governor       vacancy. The Governing Board have completed a skills audit and have    identified a need for someone who has knowledge and experience of either business or finance. If you would like to know more, please let the school office know and we will put you in touch with Ranuka Jagpal, the Chair of Governors, who can explain in more detail the role of a governor. This is a great opportunity to be part of the decision making process, here at Bromley Hills, and it is crucial to have an even spread of people on the Governing Board.

Football Success! Bromley Hills 4 - Fairhaven 3

Bromley Hills started slowly and after 10 minutes and Fairhaven scored 2 goals. However, we didn’t give up and just before half time, Jack scored from a corner kick. In the second half, we started off well with the ball  moving a lot more with our passing and after 10 minutes, we equalised with a cross from Charlie and a brilliant header from Harry. We then went 2-3 up, with Alfie scoring a goal. Fairhaven came back with a goal to make it    3-3 but then Charlie scored the winning goal right at the end of the match!

Indoor Bowling Club News

We went to an indoor bowling tournament where we played against        Fairhaven, The Glynne and St. Mark’s. We drew 2-2 against Fairhaven but lost 3-2 to St. Mary’s. The overall winners were St. Mary’s. We all had a    really good time and enjoyed our experience.
