This week, 5/6C have been learning about Isaac Newton and how he discovered gravity. They have been designing their own flying animal (e.g. sloth, tiger and lion). There have been some mag-pieing of Miss Collin's idea of her flying pig. 5/6C told me some interesting facts like the 3 stages of the flying pig, first stage stability, then movement and lastly back to stability. The children of 5/6C told me they had fun designing and making their flying animals. This relates to the article,' every child has the right to education', from the Child's Right convention.
This week Reception practiced singing with Katherine from Dudley Performing Arts and were singing space songs. They made rockets in science and had lots of fun. In maths they were sorting pirate numbers. Ivy said "I liked when we used the instruments with Katherine". They were also rehearsing for the Christmas play and will soon be doing a rehearsal to the school. They were learning about spaceships as well.
Today, 3/4BT have been learning about the causes of cyber-bulling and esafety. They have been writing about it, talking about it and lots more. Their teacher said that "They had learnt a lot about it, and they have had some brilliant work done on esafety".
This week 1/2 BR have been learning about churches, asking questions and also learning about Guy Fawks. They also made posters and learnt about Remembrance. They said they "had lots of fun."
This week Miss Morris's class have been learning about the different planets. They were learning about the solar system and all the different planets. They also learned about remembrance. On Thursday they had lunch with there mommies and daddies. Miss Morris said that "they enjoyed eating with their parents". They also learned about anti-bullying.
This week, 5/6C have been learning about the four forces (gravity, friction, weight and force). Also, linking with gravity, they have been learning and writing about Issac Newton, a famous person known for making the 'Newton meter'. Pupils of 5/6C has said that they enjoyed learning and writing about Issac Newton, as well as the four forces and told me some interesting facts like how Issac Newton made the ,'Newton meter', to measure energy.
